ALCAZABA
This Moorish fortress dates from the ninth century. Although built by the Moors, it has typical Roman characteristics. One of Spain’s best kept fortresses. Unmissable!
ROMAN AMPHITHEATRE
Next to the fort lies the second century amphitheatre. The best view of this Roman sight is from the plaza in front.
CATEDRAL DE MÁLAGA
It took almost two centuries to build the Cathedral of Málaga due to lack of money. An unusual detail: there is only one tower, the second tower has not been completed, yet. Inside it shows fantastic decorations with Renaissance, Gothic and Baroque elements. There is a marvelous city view from the roof!
FEIRA DE MÁLAGA
Feira de Málaga is a traditional festival in August, marked by processions and traditional costume. Women wear colourful Flamenco dresses and men wear traditional suits and hats.
